NASA has announced that it will be buying five more flights of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft.

This brings the total number of Crew Dragon flights NASA has purchased from SpaceX to 15.

The Crew Dragon is a spacecraft designed to carry humans to and from low Earth orbit.

It is currently being used to transport NASA astronauts to and from the International Space Station.

NASA says that the decision to purchase more Crew Dragon flights was made in order to ensure that there is a reliable and safe means of transporting astronauts to and from the space station in the event that one of the two currently operating transport systems (the Soyuz spacecraft or the SpaceX Crew Dragon) is unavailable.

NASA says that it expects to use the Crew Dragon for all future astronaut transport needs.
